The eee PC is a sub-notebook that is made by Asus (not Acer, although they both have laptop line with fancy car names (Lamborghini and Ferrari)).

So why do I want this cute little laptop?

  1. It’s portable: great for note-taking, using in bed, outside, anywhere.
  2. Cheap: costs about $400
  3. Runs pre-installed Linux out-of-the box, although I will probably switch to Ubuntu.
  4. Weighs only a pound.
  5. Has webcam!
