Why I am planning on purchasing an eee.
The eee PC is a sub-notebook that is made by Asus (not Acer, although they both have laptop line with fancy car names (Lamborghini and Ferrari)).

Here are the specs from the Asus website:

So why do I want this cute little laptop?
- It’s portable: great for note-taking, using in bed, outside, anywhere.
- Cheap: costs about $400
- Runs pre-installed Linux out-of-the box, although I will probably switch to Ubuntu.
- Weighs only a pound.
- Has webcam!
